This is a free style workout in Kung Fu San Soo between two higher belts. Does anyone actually think this type of training is really "full-contact," realistic, and beneficial to fighting a person who is non-cooperative (whether the fight is in the ring, cage, or street)?

This is what most San Soo training consists during a class. The Kung Fu San Soo teacher might go through a warm-up, teach a couple of lessons relevant to the people's belt level, have them practice the lesson(s), and then let them go about doing their "free style" workout where participants try their own techniques on a person, but don't actually make contact (so the person doesn't know how fast AND powerful their punches, kicks, etc. actually are) or really know what it's like to try a take down, throw, or sweep against a person that won't allow a take down, throw, or sweep to be done on them. Don't expect there to be hard training on bags and pads constantly or sparring against non-cooperative partners.
