Hello Everyone,

The next real fighter I want to present is Tyrone Spong. He left Kickboxing after a brutal leg break and now competes in Western Boxing. Nothing but respect for this man who keeps on fighting.

Reading his Biography you'll learn he trained in Dutch Kickboxing for two years and began his fighting career. In two years he developed great fighting skill because he trained in a practical fighting style (Dutch Kickboxing)!

Can a person train in Kung Fu San Soo in two years and develop the same level of fighting skill in terms of powerful punches, kicks, etc and get in the ring to do a stand up match on a major fight promotion? I doubt it and I would bet money on that!

Imagine if there happens to be a person who is the exception in the Kung Fu San Soo community who has the fighting skill and fitness to successfully take on these real fighting style practitioners. How would that person know if he is prepared to get in the ring and fight? Well, IF he has the "heart and will" he'll immediately find a way and start competing. Other than that, Kung Fu San Soo can't be considered on the same level as the fighting styles recommended on this blog because Kung Fu San Soo doesn't have a history of making a name for itself on the fight scene. If a martial art doesn't have a history of major success in the ring or cage against non-cooperative opponents then how the hell can it be argued it's good for the street against non-cooperative opponents? Answer: It can't.
