I made a saying that explains what Muay Thai can do.
It goes like this:
Muay Thai turns a boy into a man. A man into a fighter. A fighter into a warrior. A warrior into a legend.
It's true. Muay Thai (along with the similar Southeast Asian Boxing styles and the East Boxing styles that it influenced) does something that not all martial arts can do (specifically Kung Fu San Soo) because it focuses on effectiveness, efficiency, and practicality. There's no wasting time in doing ridiculous movements, stances, technique, etc. It requires a person to do something that Kung Fu San Soo doesn't have it's teachers and students do which is get in the ring and fight!
There's no emphasis on stupid rank and belts (the only belts that matter in Muay Thai are the ones you win in the ring)!
There's only one thing that matters. The fight in the ring!
Again. You read it here.
Muay Thai turns a boy into a man. A man into a fighter. A fighter into a warrior. A warrior into a legend.
