Hello Everyone,

In the past few blog posts I want to bring up an issue that does exist in the study of not just martial arts, but in fact learning how to fight and that is called INTEGRITY.

It's important to have integrity in order to make yourself not just a better fighter, but a better person.  I have never lied on this blog about my experience in kung fu san soo and the fighting styles on this blog.  NO, I'M NOT A PROFESSIONAL FIGHTER.

YES, I AM A SUPPORTER OF THE FIGHTING STYLES ON THIS BLOG AND I DO NOT RESPECT KUNG FU SAN SOO.

YES, I DID STUDY KUNG FU SAN SOO FOR ABOUT A YEAR.

YES, I REGRET WASTING MONEY STUDYING KUNG FU SAN SOO.

YES, I WISH I WOULD HAD ACCESS TO MUAY THAI, SANDA, BJJ, PRADAL SEREY, ETC. WHEN I WAS YOUNG.

YES, I DID LEAVE A QUESTION ON RON GATEWOOD'S WEBSITE ASKING IF THE CULVER CITY EVENT TOOK PLACE IN 1975 AND 5 KUNG FU SAN SOO GUYS GOT THEIR BUTT'S KICKED.  READERS OF THIS BLOG, IS THIS THE TYPE OF MARTIAL ART YOU WANT TO STUDY WHERE PEOPLE DENY THE PAST HISTORY OF THE MARTIAL ART???

The fighting styles recommended on this blog do not hide their history.  The fighting styles on this blog have challenged each other in the past and will continue in the future.  The fighters of these styles know how good they are and they know there is always going to be another fight (Muay Thai and Sanda have had some big fights, but Muay Thai and Dutch Kickboxing never stop comparing each other, sometimes Thai fighters win, other times the Dutch win).

***To the older gentleman of this blog that left all those comments in the past blog post.  I do believe you that the event occurred in 1975.  Another reader in the old blog mentioned the event too, but he didn't go into detail that you brought up about Larry Wikel being voted out and Jimmy H. Woo holding the vote.  It's not surprising how the san soo community would try to hide the event.  It's good there are still people with integrity like you who are willing to admit it.  I don't expect Ron Gatewood to ever mention this event.  Honestly, I don't think it's worth the time to try to get other 1st generation san soo masters to admit it, because I don't think they will admit it.

IF THE 1ST GENERATION GUYS OF KUNG FU SAN SOO COULDN'T HOLD GROUND AGAINST AVERAGE KICKBOXERS THAN HOW THE HELL CAN THE NEXT GENERATION EXPECT TO DO ANY BETTER WHEN THEY'RE BEING TAUGHT THE SAME CRAP.

READERS OF THIS BLOG: Spread the word of the fighting styles on this blog.  You cannot go wrong.
