Hello Everyone,

Myth or Fact?  That's a topic for this post.  We're going to discuss some facts.  On the old blog I went over the belief that Kung Fu San Soo might have been completely made up by Jimmy H. Woo in order to get students to pay him money.  Well, this statement is from a particular Kung Fu San Soo website by a kung fu san soo "master" that I've discussed before.

I believed them all [stories], many were true however some were embellished, not to deceive......as a way to make our history a better marketing tool...it would attract more students helping the Art would flourish.

This kung fu san soo "master" that has been a kung fu san soo "master" longer than anyone else is admitting a harsh truth for san soo people and one that many practitioners of real fighting styles know that happens with fake martial arts.  REAL FIGHTING STYLES DON'T HAVE TO MAKE UP STORIES TO GET PEOPLE TO TRAIN OR BUILD UP THE "ART" TO MAKE IT FLOURISH!

Here's another statement from the same san soo "master."

I believe GM Woo’s [Jimmy H. Woo] life already contained many real action stories. Being new to the country and speaking little English he embellished some......he needed to create income for himself and his family.....

Okay old man....Tell me something, if I guy embellishes and builds up stories to create mystique how can you believe anything else he says?!?  ANSWER: YOU CAN'T!  A PERSON THAT IS A REAL FIGHTER AND ANY REAL MARTIAL ART DOESN'T NEED TO EMBELLISH OR BUILD UP STORIES (cough, cough, LIE).  He (Jimmy H. Woo) needed to make income for himself and his family?  Okay, by lying...no real fighter of a real martial art needs to do that crap.  Thanks for admitting Jimmy H. Woo did this stuff.  It shows how kung fu san soo is crap and sucks and shouldn't be taken seriously.

The fighting styles recommended on this blog don't have a mythical history.  You know why?  They prove themselves in the ring and/or cage.  They have a history of accepting challenges by their practitioners to show how good they are!  Period.  Don't believe me?  Read the history of Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Sanda, Pradal Serey, Lethwei, Wrestling, Dutch Kickboxing, and all the other fighting styles recommended on this blog!  I've met Muay Thai instructors in their 40's and 50's that punch and kick harder than kung fu san soo "masters" (the "skill" of san soo "masters" is all over youtube so it isn't hard to see why).  Also, these Muay Thai instructors (Ajarns or Krus) have a history of proving their fighting skills in the ring.  BJJ...I've seen BJJ guys not rely on telling the history of BJJ taking down other styles and instead make a challenge to prove the skill of BJJ.

NO REAL FIGHTING STYLE EMBELLISHES STORIES!  WHY?  It's due to the fact it's not necessary.  To the readers of this blog.  The fighting styles recommended on this blog are all backed up by their history of defeating other martial arts in the ring and cage (certainly there is plenty of stories in the street).
