Hello Everyone,

I have several goals for this blog.  One is to give credit to the recommended fighting styles.  Hopefully, it will help get more people to study the fighting styles recommended on this blog (Muay Thai, Pradal Serey, Lethwei, Boxing, Judo, BJJ, etc.).  They teach effective and efficient self-defense and fighting skills.  Also, they get you in great physical and mental shape.  They are worth studying while you spend your time and money (which most people only have so much).

Another goal is to show the ridiculous attitudes and beliefs in the KFSS community.  Here are some.  One, kung fu san soo "masters" tell a complete lie that Kung Fu San Soo "fighters" (many would end up becoming 1st generation "masters" under Jimmy H. Woo) scared a group of Muay Thai fighters from fighting in a competitive match.  I've posted the story on this blog and have talked about it.  Mark my words.  This event did not happen!  Muay Thai is a far superior fighting style.

Second, there is a belief in the kung fu san soo community that Bruce Lee went to Jimmy H. Woo and wanted to learn from him or attain Jimmy Woo's knowledge and Jimmy Woo bought him ice cream (the lesson of the story is that Bruce Lee wasn't respected by Jimmy Woo and didn't know a lot about fighting).  I can tell you right now my "master" taught me that story when I trained in KFSS.  I didn't believe it then and I don't believe it now.  Bruce Lee was a far superior athlete with great skill.  I would bet all my money on Bruce Lee over Jimmy Woo in a fight.

There are a lot of other absurd beliefs, but the cult of Kung Fu San Soo continues.  This blog will hopefully do some good for people in their journey to learn real fighting skills.
