Hello Everyone,

The fighting styles presented on this blog require hard work to train in.  However, it doesn't require you to be a super athlete.  It doesn't require you to be superman.  Anyone would be surprised at the people that study BJJ, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Judo, etc. but in a half a year they change totally (physically and mentally).  Most important, if you don't want to compete in competition you don't have to (however, depending on which gym you're at you might be asked with more pressure than others, but overall you never have to compete).

MOST IMPORTANT:  All the talking is done in the ring, cage, or on the mat.  There are no excuses or bullshit.  If an instructor or a student has a problem with someone else or another gym it's all settled in the ring or cage at the next fight promotion.  I've never seen a Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Grappling style like BJJ, etc. be afraid to settle differences physically.  These aren't super human beings they just have studied fighting styles that don't rely on stories from many years in the past, stories that cannot be verified, a single person who stands out as a grand master, etc. to build their ego and make them talk bullshit.

Why?  They know it's what they do and have done that what matters, not someone else like a grandmaster.  A Muay Thai fighter would never say "I cannot show you this technique it's too deadly."  A BJJ grappler would never say "I can't role on the mat with you too hard, I'll easily break your body."  I'll never forget rolling with a purple belt in BJJ who is at least 25 pounds more heavier.  I used all my strength to make it hard for him to tap me.  Overall, he is a much better BJJ guy than I'll ever be and he beat me, but I was proud when he acknowledged I was hard to get.

***To the older gentleman leaving comments: I wish I knew your first name so I can stop calling you older gentleman.  I know who Hopkins and Browning are.  I know their background and schools.  I don't need to talk to them.  I've seen both of them train.  I would not waste my time or money studying under them because I know where to find people who are better in BJJ.  I know for a fact they can't teach me anything about striking.  I'm blessed to have studied and continue to study Muay Thai and Kickboxing under some very talented fighters.

  8. Anyway I am glad you verified the CULVER City debacle where 5 of Larry WIKELS so called FIGHTERS lost big-time in 1975. As I mentioned I still joke with a san soo Master about Don wanting a rematch.
