Hello Everyone,

I've gone over the fighting styles recommended on this blog in past blog posts.  With a few exceptions I always post a list of them on each blog post.

I've decided to state something on this blog I don't believe I have ever done before, but here it goes...the fighting styles on this blog are more effective and efficient than not only Kung Fu San Soo, but most of the martial arts in the world that claim to teach self-defense and fighting.  There I said it.  I will not mention any styles or systems, but you (the reader) can pick a style and make a guess whether I believe it is weaker than the styles on this blog.

Anyway, most people in the USA who train in a martial art to learn how to fight have no idea how lucky they are to have good equipment, a place to train to keep them cool/warm/clean, etc.  All the San Soo schools I've seen are like this, problem is I believe it gives a false sense of feeling what it's like to fight or get ready for a fight.  Even most Western Boxing gyms are dirty and smelly, but they produce killers.

I just got word from a reliable source, who still is exposed to the art of Kung Fu San Soo, and it seems to him/her (don't want to give a hint to who the person is) that the San Soo community from the newer generations have basically worked to implement MMA and other "fighting styles on this blog" training aspects into the San Soo training to become better.  Problem is, according to my source, they're not good at doing it.  For example, they don't know how to hold pads, use the wrong types of bags, aren't good sources to rely on for real fighting because MOST haven't fought in the ring or cage (let alone, fight in the street), etc.

Why the hell would someone want to learn BJJ or Muay Thai or kickboxing, etc. from a guy who would waste time in Kung Fu San Soo when he could go straight to the source to be a real fighter?

My source has told me recently that a lot of the 1st Generation San Soo guys are not taken seriously by the newer generation and are out casted.  In his/her words, "they're is no need for them."  I have heard this, but it's nice to have another source verify it.

  1. I SAW YOUR COMMENTS ON RON'S BLOG. RON DID NOT RESPOND. WHAT YOU SAID IS 100% CORRECT. NOW THAT THE CAT IS OUT OF THE BAG, I AM SURE THEY KNOW WHO I AM. I HAD ALWAYS TOLD THEM IT WAS NOT GOOD TO EXAGGERATE THE ART. IF THE. GUY WOULD HAVE REMAONED HUMBLE AND JUST SOLD IT AD A SELF DEGENSR ART FOR AVWRAGE PROPLE HE MIGHT STILL BE AROUND LA MAKING MONEY. HIS CLAIMS AND HIS WIFE BACKING THEM UP ARE PURE IMAGINATION.
