Hello Everyone,

There are two things to notice in this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anluRxrSnrU

1)  That takedown WILL NOT WORK against a person who knows how to fight.  Try that on a Sambo or Pankration fighter, it won't work.  It's such a complex move there are other basic moves that would be much better to do in a fight.

2) At the 2:54 mark in the video the kung fu san soo master says to stay in a position of advantage, don't tie up with a grappler, box a boxer, etc.  Kung Fu San Soo is known more than any martial art for having the quote "don't box a boxer, don't wrestle a wrestler, don't kickbox a kickboxer, etc." but here is the problem.  What the hell is Kung Fu San Soo good for if it can't handle the boxing, wrestling/grappling, or kickboxing ranges?  This advice has been stressed in the kung fu san soo community and the KFSS guys took this advice to the fights they accepted challenges in and guess what?  It didn't help at all.  They still lost.

If you're in kung fu san soo how can you expect to stay in a position of advantage in a fight when you can't out fight even a style that focuses on a striking specialty (like boxing)?
