Hello Everyone,

I have studied martial arts for decades.  Much more research and reading on different styles and systems than most martial art masters.  I can say for sure that Kung Fu San Soo would probably win the award or title for "The Most Full of Shit Deadly Martial Art In The World."

Why?  Several reasons:

1) Too many of the art's masters (from 1st Generation to even 2nd or 3rd) emphasize its techniques are too deadly for competition (sure, poking eyes and striking groins are illegal in the ring or cage), but forget there are so many of its techniques that can be used in competition, but don't realize they wouldn't work in the ring or cage.

2) Whenever Kung Fu San Soo guys go into the ring or cage to demonstrate san soo they get destroyed (I have discussed those events too many times on this blog)!  If any kung fu san soo guy does go into the ring or cage and wins he isn't using kung fu san soo, but instead the fighting styles recommended on this blog (i.e. Ian "Creepy" McCall).  A complete idiot kung fu san soo master brought it up to my attention on American san soo forum but didn't take into account Ian McCall didn't use kung fu san soo to win his fights.  By the way, here is the kung fu san soo master:

Anyone see a trained killer?  Don't laugh.  I'm serious.

3) A lot of the kung fu san soo community doesn't emphasize real training.  Generally, I would say 95% of people are wasting their time studying the style because they aren't actually training.  They don't know what it's like to get hit in the face, sweat like you're in a sauna, know what mental pain is like in training, etc.  I would say that many people in the art that have earned the title master got it without going through real training (this includes many 1st generation masters).

4) The community is so divided on the art itself.  I have already talked about how I believe Jimmy H. Woo made up the art himself in order to sell it to the American public.  I believe that if Jimmy came to America as a young man in his twenties he couldn't have been a master in the art (it is so complex and has too many techniques).  In addition, you won't find traces of san soo anywhere in China.  Some masters have come to that conclusion while others think it's a art that is thousands of years old.  If the community can't even agree on an art's history than it says something about the art itself.

5) The videos and information of the art on the internet make it more laughable than deadly.  Watch for yourself how just the 1st generation guys move and strike.  Talk about lack of power and speed, if that way of striking was used by a kung fu san soo guy in just a Western Boxing match that person would be humiliated or worse, killed.

6) I honestly cannot think of another martial art community like san soo in the whole world that has gotten away for so long saying it's just for self defense and its masters and students don't enter competition because their techniques are too deadly.  Really?  Even certain religions have been called out through books and documentaries for their absurd world historical event claims.

I'm really trying not to repeat posts on this blog, but don't forget real fighters repeat the basic techniques in their training over and over.
