Hello Everyone,

We can all agree that a person's life can change any time, any day, and any moment. For the better or worse.  Hopefully, we want our lives to change for the better, but there's always sick fucks out in the world (forgive my language, but you get the point).

If you were to tell me on my graduation day of high school where I would be, what I would do, the places I would go, the things I accomplished, and the good and bad things I experienced by February 26, 2020 I would not have ever believed you.

Believe me, when I was young studying Kung Fu San Soo, I wanted to believe I was being taught a really bad ass fighting style.  Things came up in my life so I decided to quit, but still at that time I hadn't come to the conclusion that San Soo was crap.

I certainly never imagined I would be running a blog about real fighting styles.  It has been a pleasure to make a blog to present fighting styles I believe are the best to study for self-defense, fitness, and fighting.

I will do my best to write more articles.  I know my opinion on the fighting styles I recommend on this blog will not change, because I truly believe Sanda, Wrestling, Dutch Kickboxing, Pradal Serey, etc. are better than Kung Fu San Soo for self-defense and fitness (we won't even go into fighting in the ring or cage).  It just makes me shake my head and smile when I see kung fu san soo masters add BJJ or Boxing or Muay Thai techniques and training methods into their school!  Really?  These losers have to take from other real fighting styles to make their art better or worse, to appeal to the public to get people to study from them!  Remember this, BJJ and Muay Thai gyms ARE NOT taking any techniques or training methods from traditional martial arts like Kung Fu San Soo because what they know and do is superior and certainly works.

I cannot tell the future of martial arts in America or the world, but what I believe is that due to MMA promotions, Muay Thai fights, Kickboxing promotions, grappling tournaments, and similar brutal combat events taking place in the present day the martial arts that don't have a real fighting aspect in the ring, cage, or mat (grappling tournaments like Metamoris) will find it very hard to attract people to study them because people will choose martial arts based on what they are known to do against another person.

YouTube certainly doesn't help any martial art style when its practitioners constantly lose in fighting matches or look like they have no real fighting skill.  The Sean Scott vs John Marsh fight certainly didn't help Threat Management Institute (TMI, formerly known as South Bay San Soo) get students because the doors were closed not long after the fight was over and this was before the internet was popular nowadays.

Study the fighting styles I recommend on this blog and you won't regret it.
