Hello Everyone,
On the previous blog, I put up posts about the recommended fighting styles to introduce them to the readers. So hear we go again. The first fighting style I will discuss on the new blog will be Sanda formerly known as San Shou!
Sanda holds a special place in my heart. It truly is a real fighting style. It was created by the Chinese government to teach effective fighting skills to the police and military (also what influenced the creation of Sanda was after several Chinese Kung Fu guys went to Thailand and got beaten bad by Muay Thai fighters).
The one Chinese martial art that I would recommend to study would be the martial art of Sanda (San Da) formerly known as San Shou. Why? It's realistic, practical, efficient, and effective on a non-cooperating opponent in the ring, cage, and certainly in a street fight.
In Kung Fu San Soo, your training partner throws a punch at you that never lands, stands still, and reacts to your counter attacks (just watch San Soo videos on youtube and you'll known what I mean).
However, the fighting style of Sanda puts a person through real fight training and prepares to deal with non-cooperating opponents.
I stand by the statement that 2 years of Sanda training is worth more than 20 years of Kung Fu San Soo training. In Sanda, you'll train hard and know what really works on a person intending to hurt you.
Here are some videos of Sanda in training and action:

Sanda vs Kung Fu San Soo. It's obvious the Sanda fighter will win. Practitioners (including master's) of Kung Fu San Soo just never train realistically and physically hard like students of Sanda do!
Any person (usually it will be a Kung Fu San Soo guy) who says Kung Fu San Soo can teach you effective and efficient fighting skills just like Sanda is full of it.
