Hello Everyone,

I'm a huge fan of the Glory Kickboxing promotion. I really miss the Golden Days of the K-1 events though. Anyway as I was watching Glory Kickboxing fights on youtube and I want all the readers of this blog who are Kung Fu San Soo masters, blackbelts, and other KFSS practitioners to ask themselves this question.

Do you feel your striking skills from Kung Fu San Soo will allow you to defeat a fighter that will only use punches, kicks, and knees (rules established by Glory and K-1)? Whether it be the ring, cage, or street; do you have the ability to stand toe to toe against a man who trains hard perfecting his punches, kick, and knees and defeat him with all your Kung Fu San Soo techniques???

Here is a video from the Last Man Standing tournament Glory Kickboxing held in California. This fight is between Joe Schilling and Simon Marcus. Imagine going against these guys in the ring, cage, or street...do you think the training you do in the Kung Fu San Soo school is enough to take these guys on? If not these guys, how about the non-professional Dutch Kickboxing or Muay Thai practitioners who train just as hard and know what it feels like to take a beating in sparring sessions?

A very serious question to think about...

Here is the video of the fight.  It was so fun for me to watch it when it took place.
