Hello Everyone,

Another old post, but good to put up on the new blog!

I just can't help to think of the San Soo guys that keep on coming back to my blog. There's no way Kung Fu San Soo masters and high level belts would stop visiting this blog because I'm writing about the martial art they profess to be the "greatest martial art there is." Don't believe me, watch this video of a Kung Fu San Soo master making the exact comment. Watch at the 2:13 mark.

My Kung Fu San Soo master stated Kung Fu San Soo was the "best art there is." Now, whether or not he TRULY believed it I don't know, but I have to assume he did believe it, because he said it.

To any Kung Fu San Soo master who believes Kung Fu San Soo is the best/greatest martial art; do they really believe KFSS can hold ground against BJJ, Muay Thai, Boxing, Lethwei, and the others mentioned on this blog in an actual fight, regardless if it's the ring, cage, or street? If so, why don't KFSS guys enter the ring or cage and dominate and make a name for themselves and for the art? Surely, "the best art there is" can dominate in an environment with rules (to protect themselves from dirty tactics) besides in an environment without rules.

There have been some articles written about BJJ not being suitable for street fighting because a lot of BJJ taught in America is meant for competition and not for self-defense. I agree with those articles and have to admit I have been taught BJJ moves that are not suitable for street fighting and only meant for BJJ competition. However, I don't doubt BJJ is still an effective and efficient martial art to train in. There's no way in hell I would ever step foot in another Kung Fu San Soo school. Why? It's not only that I believe Kung Fu San Soo is crap or worthless it's also for another reason. It's because I know my former Kung Fu San Soo master could not teach me anything about real fighting than I already know now! I know he can't teach me to punch and kick harder and faster. I know he can't teach me how to grapple for a street fight. I know he can't teach me the proper physical training methods to make me a better fighter, etc. Training in the more efficient and effective martial arts has exposed me to the real world of fighting.
