Hello Everyone,

Ron Gatewood left this comment to respond to the last comment I left on his website KungFuSanSooHistory.com (here is a link to the comment and my previous comment: https://kungfusansoohistory.com/thai-boxers-discussion-epilogue/#comments):

SP Danny,
All I can tell you is what I heard and saw, I am not going to let you suck me in to what was on Larry’s mind, ask him he is still around, Sharon Wikel has read this post, ask her. You also have mixed two issues, as I remember the fight that took place were junior belts and had nothing to do with Muay Thai. We put photo’s in our articles to spice them up, not being an expert on Thai Boxing all the fighting of the area looks same to me.

One thing a person needs to remember when debating or asking questions with people that are going to be controversial is to keep things simple as possible and try not to mix up topics because they'll find a way to dodge the question.  The last point of my comment I stated if "San Soo guys (under Larry Wikel) couldn’t beat Kickboxers in 1975 at the Culver City Arena event then they would not last against Muay Thai fighters from Thailand."

This gave Ron Gatewood an excuse to really not answer the question.  He (and the rest of the San So community) are very good at not answering questions.  The last comment was just a comparison to think about.  One, the kickboxers at culver city arena were not professional fighters.  Two, Muay Thai fighters from Thailand would be straight hardcore fighters. Three, hence, the outcome for San Soo would be fucking disaster.  Get it?  I'm sure Ron does, but he doesn't want to respond.

I have no idea on how to get ahold of Larry Wikel and I don't think his wife will be any help.  At least the truth is out the event in 1975 did happen and TWO San Soo masters of the 1st Generation have admitted to it.  I would like to think other San Soo masters would admit to it to let people know the truth!

How much more writing will it take for me to prove that the fighting styles recommended on this blog are superior for fighting, self-defense, and fitness and kung fu san soo is crap?
